Zirconia Dental Veneers Process Step-by-Step

1. Case Diagnosis and Photography
   First, we do a thorough clinical assessment of your teeth with digital smile design workflows, assessing your case from different angles: smile width, tooth shape, shades, symmetry, and your bite.
   Then we need to take a preoperative photo of your teeth and smile in rest and functioning poses, then select the shade of veneer according to the neighbouring teeth’s shade and your preferences.
2. First impression
   Digital impression by intra-oral scanners or traditional impression is taken before preparation is done, for a later temporary provisional veneer made using it.
3. Zirconia Veneers tooth preparations
   Start making a room for zirconia veneer, about 0.6 mm, by removing the outer enamel layer. However, in deep discolouration, more tooth structure is removed to be able to mask it.
4. Provisionals if needed
   After preparation, if the patient can’t stay for another session, we need to maintain the health and aesthetics of the prepared teeth until the next visit, when the final veneers will be applied. Temporary or snap-on veneers are made using acrylic resin materials to cover each tooth.
5. Veneers fit in
   The next day, you can get the final veneers. We first check the marginal fit, occlusion, and shade before bonding. Once all adjustments are completed, veneers are permanently cemented to the teeth’s surfaces using a resin bonding agent.
